- Torx 20 screwdriver inviolable
- Screwdriver big
- Pliers on end
- 2 flanges / nylon clamps
Time for a repair
30-40 minutes.
In these Rowenta iron models, there is a main piece which includes the circuit, its casings, the inlet valve to the boiler and the pump, therefore, the repair to be carried out is the replacement of the circuit assembly.
We identify that the fault comes from this part when at first the ironing center works correctly, but as the minutes go by, little by little, it stops steaming. The boiler is recharged at first, but the water pump is not activated again, and therefore the amount of steam "vanishes".

disassembly
(All these steps are carried out in the boiler part of the iron)
* To carry out this repair, it is highly recommended that the appliance has cooled down, so as not to suffer burns when handling the boiler or that a steam leak occurs.
- remove the housing screws bottom of the iron (turn around the ironing center and remove the screws with the torx 20)
- Separate the cover-support of iron from the rest of the casings of the boiler of the ironing center. With a large flat screwdriver, pry up the two white tabs that we find (once disassembled) in the central part of the casing of the appliance.
- Separate the iron of the rest of the appliance:
- Disconnect the iron from the circuit: remove the electrical connector from the iron and the ground cable.
- Remove the steam pipe that connects the iron to the solenoid valve. It will be necessary to use a pair of pliers to remove the clamp.
- Remove the intake of water going from the pump to the boiler. It will be necessary to use a pair of pliers to remove the clamp.
- separate the electric connector of the circuit that connects it with the boiler of the iron
- Now we can take out the circuit assembly to replace it!!
Mounting
When placing the circuit, you will notice that the tubes and connectors go clearly to their position, as they were placed before, anyway, if you have not photographed the process and have any doubts, you can see the assembly step by step in our YouTube videos.
- To connect connector from the boiler to the circuit.
- connect the solenoid valve cable
- Place the iron connector in its location in the rear housing of the circuit and place the corresponding electrical connector and the ground wire.
- connect the piping from iron to solenoid valve and place the corresponding clamp with the pliers.
- Place the intake of water at the boiler inlet. The old clamp can't be used again, so we'll secure it with the two nylon clamps (cut off the excess part of the cable ties).
- put back the lower case of the appliance.
* It is advisable to check at this time that the ironing center is working correctly, to see if the fault has been solved. In this way, if the iron presents any other problem, we can access the interior of the boiler in a simple way, without having to disassemble it again
- screw the screws.
- put the lid-support iron (the tab is placed on the front and then snaps on, the tabs will keep it closed).
When plugging in the appliance, the pump should recharge the boiler and, after the heating time has elapsed, it will return to normal steam. Check for 15 minutes that everything is ok, and... that's it.
